Dear Eva

Thank you for a most enjoyable week in Slovakia, our party of eight (4 guns & spouses) were entertained and looked after far beyond our expectations.

The three days shooting interspersed with visits, including a tour of Bratislava and the opera, while staying in a superb castle along with 640 mounted trophies – looked after admirably by a game chef and his good lady was an experience not to be missed.

While the presentation of the driven game was superb I can honestly say after having shot for a good many years, including Scotland and most of the UK – nothing is comparable to the high pheasant in Slovakia.

One notable experience I personally hope never changes is the respect and ceremonies shown to the game before after and during the drives. The beaters and loaders while understanding little of our language, enthused warmth and encouragement and were a delight to be with.

Having experienced Slovakian shooting we will definitely be back next year.
