Mouflon Hunting Season :

Hunting muflon: breathing in the cool sweet air of the High Tatras Mountains, a movement attracts your eye.Train the barrel slowly, focus through the sights and … there… a superb mouflon!
Raise a glass to Count Forgách who introduced these magnificent game animals from Corsica sometime in 1868. Today 7 out of 10 of the largest muflon hunting trophies in the world are taken in this area – including the world’s largest.
Muflon can handle difficult conditions of climate and terrain – over the last century they have expanded their population and migrated across the wildest scenery in Slovakia and Czech. The scenery and rugged ability of the animal are two reasons that muflon hunting is so exciting and successful here. Of the estimated 4,000 mouflon in the area around 1,000 are bagged each year.
