Pheasant shooting  on our managed estates is an unforgettable experience. Pheasants have been bred for hunting in The Czech Republic since the 14th century and the first Pheasant farm was built by the King Charles IV. Up until the 19th century there was only one breed in the Czech Republic - a pheasant without a collar simply known as the Czech Pheasant. In 19th century more pheasants with collar and versicolor were imported from China and Japan.

The chicks are fenced at 6 weeks old; when they are old and strong enough to fly over the fence they escape to live in the fields and forest near lakes within the shooting grounds - living just as they would in the wild.

A shooting team is usually 8 to 12 people - a driven shoot towards waiting guns. When they fly it's high and very, very fast. This rich and diverse background allows us to offer truly exciting pheasant shooting for both the novice and the experienced gun.

The locations are especially beautiful; the contours of the land provide magnificent and challenging sport as the birds soar suddenly and ever skyward.

Levice Shooting grounds

The best pheasant shooting in Slovakia is organized on three different shooting estates. Those are highly recommended by locals and many foreign guns.

All in all the above mentioned shooting grounds take up around 6.000ha of land, from which half is oak woods. Shooting grounds are conveniently situated only an hour away from the closest airport - Bratislava. Expect a game bag from 250 up to 2.000 birds per day.
The valleys of the shooting fields sit geographically south part of Slovakia, 130-250 meters above sea level, and close to the Hungarian borders.
The valleys are covered with oak trees, corn fields, pines and a wide variety of plants and flowers. This combines to create ideal conditions for breeding of several animal species (including wild rabbit, hare, pheasant, wild turkey, roebuck, and fallow deer).

Accommodation
A variety of accommodation is available from magic chateaus and luxury hotels to traditional lodges.

Licences & Permits: We'll take care of all the necessary paperwork and shooting licences.

Guns & Equipment. Pheasant shooting requires shotguns. The most popular shotguns are 12 bore; but you can also use 16 or 20. Appropriate cartridges can be supplied upon request.

Clothing. Temperatures in the winter season are cool to cold; November to February ranges from 5° to -10°. If you're in doubt about the most appropriate clothing to wear just call us on 0800 0831 374.

The Small Print

Minimum number of guns: 6. However, we allow individuals or small groups to be included in an existing shoot if the maximum numbers allow it.
Maximum number of guns: 15.

An advance payment is required once we have calculated the cost of you party but we cannot confirm hunt dates until the deposit has been received.
Hunting with hounds is possible during the second half of December and all of January.
The only additional cost is your drinks bill.
