Deer stalking and hunting in the Czech Republic and Slovakia gives you the opportunity to encounter red deer, roe deer and fallow deer. As Slovakia in particular tries to keep the red deer and roe deer populations separate, our Nitra-based location is perfect for getting you to impressive deer stalking and hunting areas no matter which variety you're after. And though you'll be deer stalking and hunting in some of the most beautiful land in Central Europe, make no mistake: you'll have to work to catch up on a herd of trophy-quality fallow deer without being spotted. And whilst red deer are plentiful in the North, thin stocks of roe deer in the south make the hunt that much more memorable.

The real hunts start with roe deer hunting on 16 May. In the first days of September however, the unrepeatable theatre of the red deer rut begins in the valleys of the Slovak and Czech mountains. This is the time when the hunting season culminates - the fallow deer rut follows the red deer. There are trophies reaching over 200 CIC points accessible in some of our hunting grounds during this rut. Nowadays, Slovakia is second place in the world regarding the number of the top fallow deer trophies, many reaching over 200 CIC points. Forests of the Slovak Republic account for the largest mouflon trophy reaching 239.65 CIC points.

You can stalk on foot or shoot from high seats. This rich and diverse background allows us to offer truly exciting deer stalking and hunting for both the novice and the experienced gun.

Krivan

This is a smaller estate of around 20,000ha situated in hill country and can offer a combination of pheasant shooting and stalking high quality fallow deer. The estate takes pride in some of the largest trophies available in the whole country. Hunter J Hoher shot a 240.65 CIC point deer in 1961. In October 2004 female hunter Jana Svetlikova shot the largest Deer trophy in the whole Slovakia - 221 CIC points.

Accommodation
A variety of accommodation is available from magic chateaus and luxury hotels to traditional lodges.

Licences & Permits
We'll take care of all the necessary paperwork and shooting licences.

Guns & Equipment
For larger game including deer, and mouflon you need a good rifle; the most popular are 6.5mm or 7mm calibre. Appropriate cartridges can be supplied upon request.

Clothing
Temperatures in the winter season are cool to cold; November to February ranges from 5° to -10°C. If you're in doubt about the most appropriate clothing to wear just call us on 0800 0831 374.

An advance payment is required once we have calculated the cost of you party but we cannot confirm hunt dates until the deposit has been received.
